FAQ

Avitus is a decentralized exchange (DEX) for perpetual contracts, built on the high-performance Movement Chain. It allows users to trade various assets with leverage, offering features like high liquidity, decentralized governance, and on-chain transaction support.
Avitus supports several popular wallets, including: MetaMask and other EVM-compatible wallets (e.g., Trust Wallet, Phantom, and Coinbase Wallet).
Avitus accepts widely recognized crypto assets such as USDT, USDC, and ETH as collateral for leveraged trades. A list of accepted assets can be found on the platform.
New trading pairs are added based on market demand and liquidity considerations. Avitus regularly updates its offerings, and any new pairs are announced through official channels.
Cross Margin vs. Isolated Margin:
  • Cross Margin: Uses the total account balance as collateral to prevent liquidation across multiple positions.
  • Isolated Margin: Each position has its own allocated margin, limiting risk to that specific position.
Slippage occurs when the trade price differs from the expected price, often due to market volatility or low liquidity. To manage it:
  • Use limit orders instead of market orders.
  • Trade during periods of high liquidity.
  • Adjust slippage tolerance settings in the platform.
  • Price Deviation Protection - our USP.
Liquidation happens when a position’s collateral falls below the required margin (how much is out MMR) due to price fluctuations. The position is automatically closed to prevent further losses. Liquidation thresholds depend on leverage and the asset being traded.
  • Trading Fees:
    • Maker Fee: Applied when placing an order that adds liquidity to the order book.
    • Taker Fee: Applied when placing an order that removes liquidity from the order book.
  • Funding Fees: Periodic payments between long and short traders based on market conditions.
While Avitus currently focuses on perpetual contracts, spot trading may be added in future updates to broaden the platform’s offerings.
